Drama!                Tragedy!                Comedy!                Life!!!

OVERVIEW:
Each course is student-centred and so necessarily as unique as each member of each group.
However, each course will normally include (to a greater or lesser degree) the following key components:

  • Acting and performance skills
  • Theatre history
  • Stagecrafts
  • Film
  • Study of plays, playwrights and theatre practitioners
  • Development of English language skills (particularly spoken English)
  • Development of communication skills     and many other related areas…
Whether you already have experience or are just awakening to the ideas of drama and theatre…
Whether you have dreams of being an actor or just like the idea of doing something different that will help to improve your English…
Whether you are seriously considering pursuing this area for further study at University or Drama School or you just want to try something different and see what it is all about…
this could be the course for you!

A combination of practical and theoretical work geared towards providing stimulating and interesting experience that is geared towards the core elements seen as basic requirements by most UK Drama Schools and University Drama/Theatre courses, this intensive 9 month course has developed a reputation for providing student-centred education of the highest order.

Former students have gone on to study at a variety of Higher Education institutions in the UK, Finland, Russia, Denmark and the USA. Some have gone on to work professionally as actors,
directors and writers in theatre, film and television. Some have gone on to work as Drama Educators, translators, historians and even Environmental Engineers!
The main body of work is geared to prepare students for the possibility of further study in related fields in an English speaking country and, while not limited to this, does also encourage elements of professional work ethics and advice on further study and, auditions, etc.

The course is also designed to function equally well for those who are still cautious about Drama or who just want to try something different.
