Internationality

The West Finland College started to work internationally in the field of education beginning from the end of 1950's. Since that time regular students' and teachers' exchanges and co-operation in other ways continued with more than 20 countries and thousands of foreign students. The teaching staffs of foreign language courses and other personnel are represented by different nationalities. Students are familiarized with foreign cultures with the help of native teachers. Also part of the course is held in the country of the language being studied. Groups of foreign students from different countries visit the College regularly. The most popular programs with students are language courses around Christmas and New Year periods as well as language camps in the summer time.
