The basics of partner dance
Anniina's own dance background is in standard and Latin dances, in which she competed successfully throughout her childhood and youth, winning numerous Finnish championship medals and representing Finland in Latin dance at the European Championships. After her competitive dancesport career, Anniina moved into the world of Latino show, where her achievements include several Finnish championships in duos and small groups as well as a small-group world championship gold. Anniina won the Dancing with the Stars competition in 2021.
Anniina qualified as a dance teacher from the broad-based specialisation option at Oulu University of Applied Sciences. In addition to teaching social dance, she teaches show dance to children and young people and is involved in the planning and development of the TanssiOnline service. Anniina has been part of the Finnish Comedy Theatre's revue since 2023 and performed in the Sappee summer theatre musical in summer 2025.
Anniina's way of teaching is clear and calm; her aim is to help her students find a natural way of producing dance movement that suits their own body.
