LASSE PAASIKKO
The rhythmics of dance, the development of popular music
Lasse Paasikko has worked as a dance musician since 1975 and retired from the dance orchestra Finlanders in the summer of 2023. He has worked as a trainer in the dance teacher programme at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, in the instructor training of the Finnish Social Dance Federation and in courses run by the Finnish Dance Teachers' Association and the Finnish DanceSport Federation, on the rhythmics of dance music, the special features of dance rhythms and the development of popular music from the perspective of Finnish dance music.
On the partner dance programme, Lasse teaches the modules Basics of Dance Music and History of Popular Music.
