West Finland College is a Finnish community college located in city of Huittinen, Satakunta region. The college has a long history since 1892. We offer education for different stages of life in languages, wellness and dance. Course description of the English (through) Drama sessions:
Aimed at developing and improving English Language skills, competence and confidence through mainly practical work with a student-centred approach. Incorporating techniques developed from and inspired by Drama-based pedagogical methodologies.
Sessions will necessitate some theoretical work but as much as possible the work is practical, with a hands-on, learning-by-doing approach utilising drama games and exercises. (But not necessarily Acting: the uninitiated need not be fearful!) An open-mind and some enthusiasm are always a bonus.
This is a chance to enjoy improving English skills and considering new ways of dealing with aspects of education in a fun, practical way with similarly interested participants.
English for pre-intermediates / intermediates

24.-28.03.2025 (Levels A2,B1)
Course description of the English for pre-intermediates / intermediates session:
The intensive course runs from Monday to Friday, with three sessions each day.
The structure includes placement testing, collaborative learning, group activities, individual assessments, and feedback sessions.
Incorporating a placement test and preparation day on Monday ensures that teaching materials and lesson plans are tailored to the needs of the students.
This strategy, combined with a structured week of grammar, audio-visual learning, reading comprehension, and speaking practice, creates a holistic and effective learning experience. Resources from the British Council ensure content quality and relevance, while the feedback system fosters motivation and growth.
This is a chance to improve your English language skills in a friendly and safe environment.
Teachers from North France will follow these courses as part of their Erasmus+ project. They would be delighted to share their courses at West Finland College with other nationalities (No need to be a teacher to join!).
