In West Finland College's music theatre programme you learn acting, singing and dance under the guidance of professionals in the field.
The programme is aimed at everyone interested in making music theatre who has the desire to throw themselves into creative work and personal development.
The minimum age for the programme is 18. The studies are full-time and qualify for Kela study grant.

Music theatre training makes it possible
Are you aiming for vocational training in theatre, or do you dream of working with theatre, dance and music? Or do you simply want to take time to develop yourself and invest in your skills of self-expression within a safe learning community? The music theatre programme prepares you for further studies in theatre and for working in the field. You will gain tools for expression and communication as well as an understanding of the basics required for making music theatre.
The core content of the programme is built on three strands: acting, music and movement. In practice, we lead with acting.
Studying music theatre at West Finland College
Studying music theatre at West Finland College is full-time, and students are also expected to complete assignments independently. Studies take place mainly on weekdays from Monday to Friday, with an average of 25 hours of contact teaching per week.

Studying and accommodation at West Finland College
During the course you can stay in the accommodation buildings set in the historic surroundings of the college grounds. Studying at West Finland College gives you space to think and to develop yourself in a safe community. The small, peaceful campus in the middle of Huittinen's nature and services guarantees a successful study experience.
PLEASE NOTE! Accommodation is only available in twin rooms.

Music theatre (35 study weeks)
4 September 2023–3 May 2024 (autumn break week 41)
Teaching: Mon–Fri
Price: 482 € / instalment (the course is paid in 8 instalments in total). The price includes tuition as well as breakfast and lunch on teaching days. The studies are full-time and entitle you to Kela student financial aid, which keeps the monthly out-of-pocket cost quite reasonable.
