Beginners' partner dance course at West Finland College
TEACHING DAYS
Fri 23 January 2026 at 17.30–20 (3 lessons and a 15 min break)
Sat 24 January 2026 at 9.30–15.30 (morning 3 lessons and a 15 min break, 60 min lunch break, afternoon 3 lessons and a 15 min break)
Welcome to a dance course where we start right from the very beginning – you do not need any previous experience of dancing on your own or with a partner. We guarantee that during the course days you will learn the basics of partner dance and also gain insight into Finnish dance culture. The course gives you the skills to go out dancing, for example at an open-air dance pavilion.
The final decision on the dances is made together with the group taking part, but we will at least explore the waltz, the foxtrot and the fusku – three dances whose basics allow you to dance through practically a whole dance evening if you wish. Come along, don't be shy!

On Saturday there is a lunch break of about an hour, with your own packed lunch, or you can eat at restaurants nearby. A fridge is available at the college.
