Join Johanna and Omar on a journey into the world of Cuban salsa, bachata and kizomba!
During the course we work on the basics of these dances and build different variations on top of them. The classes focus a great deal on leading and following, and on making the dancing feel good.

The course is suitable for beginners and for those who have already danced these styles a little. We start from the basics, and extra spice and challenges are served up according to the skill level of the dancers taking part.
On both days there is a lunch break with your own packed food, so bring something to eat with you! A fridge and a microwave as well as a coffee maker and a kettle are available at the college.

Your teachers Johanna and Omar
Johanna and Omar have a long and varied dance background in both social and competitive dance. For a decade now they have together been spreading the joy of dance through salsa, bachata and kizomba! In Omar and Johanna's classes you are in good hands and are guided professionally into the secrets of new skills, and the atmosphere is always warm!
Their teaching approach and individual guidance of each dancer have earned a great deal of praise from new and experienced dancers alike, and their perspective on the fundamentals of dance and the variations built on them offers moments of insight as well as varied and interesting tools for developing your own dancing, for dancers of every level.
Johanna and Omar are also long-standing event organisers. Over ten years, through I Dance Helsinki, which they founded, they have organised more than 800 dance events for salsa, bachata and kizomba dancers, from dance courses and weekly parties to international dance festivals!
